#NigeriaDecides2027: Chief Bola Tinubu, Go Home and Get the Rest That You Need – Peter Akah

Concerns over political violence are growing after supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) were reportedly attacked twice in Enugu during a governorship campaign event. The first incident occurred at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, where the NDC says its supporters had gathered to receive its governorship candidate. A second incident outside the party’s state secretariat involved a shooting that left one man injured and five vehicles damaged. The Enugu State Police Command has ordered an investigation into the secretariat shooting. The Enugu State Government has denied involvement. Secretary to the State Government Prof. Chidiebere Onyia said the airport incident involved the party and federal authorities, adding that the NDC had not obtained approval from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to hold a rally there.
