Why Did Every Other Human Species Disappear?

For most of human history, we were not alone. Several different human species lived on Earth at the same time — Neanderthals, Denisovans, Homo erectus, Homo floresiensis, and others. They survived extreme climates, crossed huge distances, built tools, hunted, adapted… and then one by one, they disappeared. So why are Homo sapiens the only humans left?
