New Jeep Compass 4xe is the latest addition to the Jeep range. It is a zero-emission, all-wheel drive C-SUV, powered by two electric drive motors which deliver 157 kW on the front and 132 kW on the rear axle. Combined power output reaches 375 hp, reaching outstanding performance levels.
Compared to the rest of the Compass range, the new 4xe version features 10 mm higher ride height for improved ground clearance. This translates into class-leading offroad performance: 28° approach angle, 17° breakover angle, 31° departure angle, up to 480 mm water-fording depth.
The dual motor architecture ensures outstanding traction. New Jeep Compass 4xe delivers up to 3,100 Nm at the rear wheels thanks to the coupling of the rear motor to a 14:1 reductor. This provides maximum drive in the most challenging situations – and the ability to climb a 20% gradient with zero grip on the front wheels.
The exclusive new Jeep Compass 4xe Selec-Terrain:
a specific mode for each driving situation
The 4xe Selec-Terrain system always keeps the driver in full control.
On the new Jeep Compass 4xe, five driving modes are available to face all routes, surfaces, and weather conditions – from everyday to extreme: AUTO, SPORT, SAND & MUD, SNOW and 4WD LOCK. Driving modes further contribute to Compass 4xe unparalleled capability.
4WD LOCK for rocky and crumbling terrains:
when precision control makes the difference
When extreme offroad drivers tackle low-grip uphill trails, or climb rock slabs, pinpoint precision is essential to enjoy the challenge in full safety.
The 4WD LOCK engages traction on both axles for permanent AWD behavior, ideal for offroad trails ranging from mountain paths to ups and downs on gravel trails. The power transfer unit ensures immediate torque availability to the rear axle, enhancing both responsiveness and accuracy. ESP and traction control systems are set with balanced slip thresholds, in order to guarantee the best drive-off on unpaved roads.
The system features a unique speed-based pre-control strategy that allows for optimal acceleration, deceleration and torque distribution. The ultra-precise e-Motor speed controller can detect and control wheel slip in real time, adjust torque to changes in dynamic weight and surfaces, and dampen driveline oscillation.
