Repair a GE Model No. JGS963SEK2SS Oven Igniter

The oven igniter on my General Electric Model No. JGS963SEK2SS gas oven went bad. I was getting ready to bake some sour dough bread when the oven wouldn't heat. I quickly suspected the igniter since the gas burners and even the broiler worked. My local parts supply house wanted $120 for the OEM part. I bought an aftermarket part on Amazon for less than $15 and it was free shipping (and not through Amazon Prime even). I provide the link to the part and seller below. Although at the time of the order it said to allow 8-10 days for the part it arrived in just 2! In this video, I not only show you how to access the igniter, but the process that goes with it, including how to get the lower tray out, how to remove the oven door, how to turn off the gas to the oven, how to remove the igniter, and how to replace it.
