No Balls - I'm So Happy I Can Die (full album)

No Balls is a no wave/noise rock band from Sweden, mostly known as the side-project of Anders Bryngelsson and Dan Råberg (respectively drums and trumpet of the mighty noise rock superstars Brainbombs). If compared to Brainbombs, I would say No Balls often pass off as being a more experimental-focused project, with unusual riffs and mixing choices, in addition to being mostly instrumental. It is also considerably less sleazy than Brainbombs, whilst maintaining the nihilistic outlook and aesthetic. I'm So Happy I Can Die is no exception, in that it is an instrumental album constituted of angular riffing and suffering trumpet wails. Speaking of trumpet, it is nice to witness its return, since the previous recordings had none. There's a few more convential garage-y type riffs too, which brings Brainbombs to mind of course. The formula is obviously the tried and tested mono-riff song which is a staple of both bands. Overall, a good record!
