Transit Systems NSW (R3): m/o 8510 (1293) Volvo B7RLE Custom CB80 bus ride

When Transit Systems South West (now Transit Systems NSW) took over region 3 (Westbus and Western Sydney buses (STA)) in October 2013, a number of 41 Volvo B7RLE EEV Custom CB80 were ordered. These buses feature the 7.14-litre, 6-cylinder, 290 hp Volvo D7E engine and equipped with the Voith DIWA D864.5 4-speed automatic transmission. Bus m/o 5795 (1293)-(now m/o 8510) has a different desto from the back and the front (front is white, back is yellow) as this bus was involved in a serious accident in August 2022 where a semi-trailer collided with a bus (bus was doing route T80 to Liverpool). The bus driver was admitted to hospital but died however, the truckie driver has been charged for negligent and dangerous driving, and has his licence being suspended.
