Healing in His Wings

‪@hymnsofthekingdom‬ HEALING IN HIS WINGS “She said to herself, ‘If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.’” — Matthew 9:21 Centuries earlier, the prophet Malachi had spoken of the coming Sun of Righteousness, who would rise “with healing in His wings” (Malachi 4:2). There is a beautiful connection hidden in these words. The Hebrew word translated “wings” — kanaph — can also mean the corner or edge of a garment. According to the Law of Moses, tassels were to be worn on the corners of the garment (Numbers 15:38; Deuteronomy 22:12). Then, centuries later, a woman who had suffered for twelve years reached through the crowd and touched the edge of Jesus’ garment. And she was healed. She reached for the edge of His robe — and found healing in His wings.
