Did I Try

This one is about the guilt that comes after you finally hear the person you love—and realize they have been asking for you all along. He was physically there, but his mind was somewhere else. He thought making it home, sleeping beside her, and saying goodnight was enough. Then her words hit him, and he had to ask the question that hurts the most: Did I really try to deserve the love she was giving me?
