It has recently come to my attention that some of my actions may have caused certain players to rage quit Guild Wars 2. I want to make it absolutely clear that this was never my intention. All I ever wanted was to be the hero of the team I happened to be playing on. I saw my team's objectives in danger, and I acted. I saw an enemy commander standing slightly too close to the edge of a cliff and I did what I believed had to be done. At no point did I stop to consider the emotional consequences of repeatedly pulling someone away from the safety of their group. For that, I am (elbow) deeply sorry. Until now, I had only ever considered these moments from my own perspective. To my allies, I may have appeared brave. Selfless, even. Perhaps a symbol of hope during the darkest moments of battle, even when everything seemed lost, they looked up to me to save the day. But to my opponents, I now understand that I must have appeared very different. In their eyes, I was not the hero. I was the villain. The evildoer. A relentless force of cruelty without conscience or mercy. The filth of the earth. Human trash, even. The sort of person whose name is quietly spoken in Discord calls moments before somebody closes the game and stares blankly at their desktop. That is a difficult burden to carry. Like everyone else, I would like to believe that when my time eventually comes, the gates of heaven will open for me. But I fear that no amount of good intentions can erase the suffering documented in these clips. I cannot continue down this path while pretending that my soul remains untouched. Therefore, after a great deal of reflection, I have decided that this will be my final montage of humiliating enemy commanders. Any remaining clips have been permanently deleted. No backups exist. No additional folders were found shortly after writing this statement (other than a high amount of HD adult art video's ofc). I hope that, in time, those affected can heal. I ask not for forgiveness, because I know I have not earned it. I ask only that this final collection be preserved as a solemn reminder of the player I once was, and of the devastating responsibility that comes with being unusually heroic. May we all emerge from this experience as better people. JTM. Curtains closed. Lipton out.
