Cooma Airshow 1986

A gaggle of volunteers and enthusiasts gathered at the Cooma NSW airport in 1986 for an event that was becoming rarer in Australian skies, a country airshow. One of the notable acts was an appearance by the National Safety Council of Australia, which in its heyday appeared to be a legitimate and sound organisation. An appearance by the Caribou was another highlight, as well as the ill-fated Nomad. With the history of tail failures, using the rudder to yaw left and right might not have been a wise course of action.
