Travis Bickle's Gritty NYC Apartment | The Sims 4 Build (with cc)

What would Travis Bickle's apartment look like if we could see the whole thing? Welcome to the first episode of my new Sims 4 series, where I recreate the homes of movie characters and try to tell their stories through the spaces they live in. For the first episode, I’m building Travis Bickle’s apartment from Taxi Driver (1976) — or at least my interpretation of it. The movie never gives us a complete view of Travis’s apartment, so I started with the details we actually see on screen and then filled in the missing pieces with my own ideas. My goal wasn’t to create a perfect 1:1 recreation, but to capture the gritty, lonely atmosphere of 1970s New York and create a home that actually feels like Travis Bickle lives there. I built the surrounding New York-style neighborhood from scratch in Newcrest, using the empty world as a blank canvas. From the apartment building and staircases to the streets, trash, cars, and small details inside Travis’s room, I wanted the entire environment to feel like part of the story. And the more I built, the more I started thinking about one question: What can a character's home tell us about who they are? Travis’s apartment isn’t beautiful. It isn’t comfortable. It barely feels like a home at all. And somehow, I think that makes it even more interesting to build. This is my first attempt at combining two things I love — cinema and architecture — with something I’ve spent years playing: The Sims 4. If you enjoy Sims 4 builds, movie-inspired houses, realistic interiors, cinematic storytelling, architecture, and The Sims 4 speed builds, I hope you’ll stick around for the rest of the series. 🎬 Movie: Taxi Driver (1976) 👤 Character: Travis Bickle 🏠 Build: Travis Bickle's Gritty NYC Apartment 🎮 Game: The Sims 4 🌆 World: Newcrest Who should I build next?
