Inside the 74m² Junior Suite at Rixos Sharm El Sheikh - our honest, self-funded room tour of this adults-only Red Sea resort, from one of the comfiest beds in Egypt to the faults they'd rather you didn't notice.
We paid our own way for a Junior Suite on a fully all-inclusive rate - around $360 a night - and filmed exactly what you get. In this video we walk you through the whole suite: the spacious 74m² layout with its separate lounge area and warm wooden floors, the walk-in wardrobe, the in-room safe (big enough for a laptop), and that king bed, which was honestly one of the best nights' sleep we had anywhere in Egypt. We show you the bathroom too: a separate bath, walk-in shower, twin sinks and a glass panel through to the bedroom plus the balcony, the 50-inch TV, and the free minibar that's topped up daily.
It's a 4.8 on Tripadvisor. We scored it 3/5, and this room is a big part of why. It's not flawless and we don't pretend it is: the air conditioning rattled and gave off a faint burning smell on heat mode, the sockets and USB points by the sofa were dead, there were no bedside USB points at all and the shower door wouldn't close. The Wi-Fi, at least, was excellent - a steady 34 Mbps down that held right across the resort. We cover the good and the drab honestly, so you can decide whether this suite in this resort is right for your Sharm El Sheikh trip.

✅ THE QUICK VERDICT
Best for: couples wanting a large, lively adults-only all-inclusive with a private-feeling suite, huge pools and free access to the water park next door.
Know before you book: the resort spreads across 21 buildings with no lifts, service is inconsistent (and quicker once a tip appears), and the evening entertainment gets loud near blocks 20–21. Ask for a quiet room near the beach and restaurants.
