America Put a Jet Engine in a Tank — Now the Army Is Taking It Out | In 1979, American engineers did something no other tank builder would
do: they put a jet engine inside a 70-ton tank. Everyone said it was
a mistake. For 45 years, it worked. Now the U.S. Army is finally
giving it up — and the reason reveals everything about how tank
