Christa Pike Emergency Hearing After Failed Execution

A Tennessee judge ordered evidence from Christa Pike’s botched execution to be preserved following a hearing Wednesday. Pike’s attorneys are seeking to preserve photographs, recordings, drugs, IV equipment, medical records and other evidence as they investigate what went wrong during the failed execution. Pike survived two doses of lethal injection and remains hospitalized following the Sept. 30 execution attempt.
