It's April 1912 and you've just boarded the biggest ship in the world. There are 1,178 lifeboat seats for about 2,200 people. You never do a lifeboat drill. Then, on Sunday night, the ship hits an iceberg and has two hours and forty minutes left.
This goes hour by hour, from the gangway in Southampton to the Carpathia at dawn. It covers what real passengers and crew did, why some made it and others didn't, and what you should do instead. Every decision is yours.
Would you have made it? Tell me in the comments.

THE LESSONS
1. Learn the way up to the boat deck on day one.
2. Dress warm.
3. When you're offered a seat in a lifeboat, take it. The boat looks scarier than the ship.
4. If you end up in the water, get out fast. Climb onto the closest thing that floats.
