ススキで描く秋の床飾り ～掛け軸と添景で深める季節の景色～

By changing the hanging scroll, accent pieces, and jiita display board one by one, we can see how the same susuki takes on a very different atmosphere within the overall scene. Using a moon scroll that evokes the season of the Mid-Autumn Moon, poetic accent pieces inspired by the literati tradition, and motifs such as a rabbit and an insect cage, we gradually refine the display into a more distinctly autumnal landscape. We also look at important ideas behind traditional display, including shin, gyō, and sō, as well as the formality, visual weight, and material character of each element.
