In this video, I take on a true garden monster — a massive olive tree with a huge old saw cut right through the top. Originally grown in a Mediterranean olive grove before ending up in a garden centre (and then someone’s garden!), this tree had incredible potential, but the harsh cut left it looking anything but natural. Using a die grinder and The Terrier™️ carving bit, I spent over 3 hours carving, shaping, and transforming the saw cut into something far more in keeping with the wild and ancient character of olive trees. The process is captured in a full timelapse, showing the entire transformation from start to finish. The goal was simple: turn an eyesore into a feature worth looking at — and the result is a rugged, gnarly, natural-looking deadwood feature that fits beautifully in the garden. If you enjoy carving and deadwood work, you’ll enjoy this one! Tools Used: Makita GD0603 die grinder The Terrier™️ carving tool from www.kaizenbonsai.com Let me know what you think of the transformation in the comments⤵️ 🧢 Bonsai-themed T-shirts also available at: https://rhbonsaitees.etsy.com
