In this video we take Vanguard with Zone of Impact & Tactical Prowess build and Fencing Power Axe into Weekly Stratagem 55.
Conditions:
Tsunami - All enemy waves are massive waves, but waves are less frequent
Pointed Attack - Pointing deals significant Damage to the enemy you point to
Imperial Fervour - "For the Emperor!" shout increases damage dealt for a short time
Camaraderie - Handshake restores all Health and Armour
Map: Vox Liberatis
This weekly features 3 conditions that require you to use your emotes. Pointed attack is the main one that we'll be abusing this run. It only has a 3 second cooldown so it can be spammed quite often.
Both Pointed Attack and Imperial Fervour can be spammed and animation canceled, so there isn't much of a window to be punished for doing so. But having to switch emotes is difficult in the heat of battle, due to needing to switch it via an emote wheel, which takes time. Due to that we just ignore Imperial Fervour and stick to Pointed Attack only. This is because Pointed Attack does a ton of damage, while Imperial Fervour gives a moderate boost.
Imperial Fervour makes the "For the Emperor!" emote grant a +50% additive damage bonus to standard melee and ranged attacks for 15s. So it doesn't improve Pointed Attack damage.
Pointed Attack makes the "This Way" emote do 637.5 explosive damage(reduced by 15% Hard Stratagem debuff). It has 3s cooldown and 80m range. It has a 1 second delay to come out after using the emote second before the attack travels forward and it has a 7.5m radius. The first enemy hit by it takes the damage and it doesn't penetrate. The radius is quite big, so if there are enemies behind you they can trigger it rather than the enemy that is in front of you. This is enough damage to one shot majoris, zoanthropes and sorcerers without putting them in incap state. Other extremis will also be oneshotted, but put into incap. For Bosses they take 35% damage from explosives so it will do less damage to them, but it's still a lot, especially if you get 50% parry bonus on them.
There are many things that blocks Pointed Attack. Brambles, Sorcerer Shields and Curses. I noticed that when an enemy is firing projectiles at you, it will be blocked. For example if a Tyranid Devourer starts spraying at you, pointed attack will get blocked. You will have to land it when they stop firing for a bit, but do keep the 3s cooldown in mind.
Minoris are also a nuisance as it blocks the attack. You want to use this ability on Majoris and above, but if there are too many minoris on the screen they will take the hit. And with the Tsunami condition this happens quite often. So do bring horde clear so that you can get to the bigger untis.
Camaraderie can't be animation canceled and once a player accepts handshake they must play out the whole animation, so make sure both players are in a safe area before doing so. This is mostly done after an encounter when no enemies are around, but there are times where you can slip in a handshake if enemies are aggroed on the third teammate. Though usually from my experience in pubs the player will leave you hanging if there are still enemies around. You can also get the bots to handshake you in solo, but only if there are no enemies left for them to aggro on, so you can full heal after every encounter, but not in the middle of it. Do note, they take a long time to decide to shake your hand.
For the build we went with fencing power axe plus Zone of Impact(ZoI) & Tactical Prowess build for the horde clear. We need to clear the minoris so we can point the majoris to death, and Zone of Impact will help with that, also sometimes it's better to chain Grapnels if there are a lot of majoris around and pointed attack can take too long to clear a massive wave of majoris. Fencing axe helps with horde clear as well since we took the power wave perk to increase cleave and AoE for power back step. It also sets up a Tactical Prowess trigger after parry into power back step into gunstrike. We are using melee mastery for more ZoI damage, which helps because in hard strats you deal 15% less damage.
For the secondary we use Heroic Heavy Bolt Pistol for the highest gunstrike damage to setup tactical prowess more easily and it is another way to oneshot majoris.
For primary we use Accuracy Occulus Bolt Carbine, but heroic bolt carbine might have been better for the easy horde clear.
Overall a simple Stratagem, especially if you play with teammates. I do notice teammates not spamming pointed attack. If they all did, it would be over real fast.
