What if the Ottoman Empire became a global superpower… by investing almost exclusively in bananas? 🍌 In this Victoria 3 playthrough, I attempt one of the strangest (and most profitable) economic strategies I’ve ever tried: turning the Ottomans into an ultra-rich, ultra-stable empire by building almost nothing at home and instead flooding India with banana plantations through foreign investment. Against all logic, this banana-powered economy explodes in profitability. Massive income, unstoppable growth, and an Ottoman Empire that punches far above its historical weight — all without traditional industrial spam. This run pushes Victoria 3’s economic systems to their limits and proves that trade goods, foreign investment, and economic cheese can be more powerful than conquest alone.
