Renoir's Dance at Bougival Painting Itself | Art for Your TV

Renoir's Dance at Bougival slowly comes together on screen, from blank canvas to the last stroke, to music by Cécile Chaminade. No captions, no talking: leave it on the TV while you study, read, work or rest. This is an interpretive animation: a plausible reconstruction of how the canvas may have been painted, not a historical record of the artist's process. Painting: Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Dance at Bougival (1883). Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 37.375. Public domain image. Music: Cécile Chaminade, Concertino for flute, Op. 107 (final excerpt), United States Marine Band, public domain. Art&Art — Great paintings.
