LebenslustTV 83 Travel with Bastian Lee Jones A Sasak Village - Lombok

#LebenslustTV #TravelwithBastianLeeJones #SasakVillageSadeRembitan - a traditional village of the tribe, called Sasak, is one of the native tribes of the island of Lombok, Indonesia. Lombok is the next island to the overall present and famous island Bali. The latter suffers from severe tourism, pollution and destruction of its culture and nature. The approximately 700 Sasak people of Sade Rembitan (which is a union of several village communities as well) found a sustainable way to combine tourism and the preservation of its culture and buildings. The spokesman and guide - Bapak Embar explained concisely - how the systems works - that he and others learned English to be able to talk to visitors. What an achievement - taking into consideration, that these skills were self-taught! Now, Bapak Embar is in contact with the Indonesian Government - even the President, Jokowi visited this village - like German TV stations and others were producing documentaries, highlighting that brilliant model and concept and he is the only society member owning a modern smartphone. So we are in good contact via whatsapp. Many thanks for the support and the additional footages!
