Disney On Ice Discover the Magic Full Review BP Pulse Live Birmingham | 31st Oct 2026 2.30pm Show With SPOILERS + Autism Friendly Guide
Planning Disney On Ice Discover the Magic at BP Pulse Live Birmingham? This is our full vlog and review from the 31st October 2026 2.30pm performance (doors opened 1.30pm) with full spoilers to help neurodiverse families know exactly what to expect before you go.
We parked at the Express NEC car park and took the short few minutes walk to BP Pulse Live. Inside we checked out the merchandise stand, novelty popcorn in Disney On Ice buckets, slushies in Disney themed containers, programmes, and the paid-for photo op in front of the Disney On Ice cut out, plus toilets, food and drink areas and finding our seats.
Our area was very quiet so we were offered a move to seats with a better view. This Discover the Magic storyline follows Mickey and friends as Tinker Bell has been captured by Captain Hook's pirates and the magic has been drained. With a treasure map, each act restores the magic - Beauty and the Beast with Be Our Guest (no Beast appearance), Toy Story with toy soldiers and the huge Pixar ball in the crowd, Moana and Maui with Te Ka and the Heart of Te Fiti restored, Stitch's first appearance chasing the pirates to find Coco's guitar, Miguel and Coco fiesta with high stilt stunts, Captain Hook and Smee, Aladdin medley with Genie and A Whole New World, The Little Mermaid Under the Sea with Sebastian plus Eric and Ariel's Kiss the Girl lifts, and Anna, Elsa and Olaf, before Tinker Bell is freed for the grand finale with pyrotechnics.
Sensory notes for noise sensitive and villain-wary kids, ear defender tips, why we recommend bringing your own light up wands and toys as food and drink can't be brought into the arena, and characters you can't usually meet in Disney parks like Hamm from Toy Story and Sebastian. Perfect for first-timers and autism-friendly days out.
