Girl Chat: You’re Married… So Why Don’t You Have Kids?

Today, we’re talking about a topic that doesn’t always get enough grace in Christian spaces: married women who do not to have children. Why is there sometimes an assumption that a woman who is married without children must be waiting, struggling with infertility, or missing out on a blessing? What if her life simply looks different from what others expected? And what if not having children is part of the season or path God has for her? As women of God, we have to be careful not to measure another woman’s blessings by our own expectations. Every woman’s walk with the Lord is different, and we should lead with love, compassion, and understanding rather than judgment. In this Girl Chat, I’m opening up about this topic, the stigma surrounding married women without children, and why we should be mindful of the assumptions we make about other women’s lives.
