Papa Roach & Carrie Underwood - Leave A Light On REACTION | This Message Hit Hard

Today on Leee Vantage, we're reacting to Papa Roach and Carrie Underwood's powerful collaboration, "Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark)." Going into this reaction, we were expecting something completely different. We'd only heard a little of Papa Roach before, and because of that, we mostly associated him with his heavier rock sound and moments of rap-influenced vocals. So hearing Jacoby Shaddix sing with this much melody and emotion genuinely caught us off guard. We had no idea this side of his voice existed, and it gave us a whole new appreciation for his versatility as a vocalist. As the song unfolded, the message became impossible to miss. "Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark)" is a song about hope, reaching out, and reminding people who are struggling that they don't have to face life's darkest moments alone. Papa Roach partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on this song, with the goal of encouraging conversations about mental health and supporting suicide prevention efforts. Carrie Underwood's vocals add another layer of compassion and encouragement to an already powerful message. This reaction wasn't just about discovering another side of Papa Roach—it was about appreciating a song that uses music to remind people that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. If you're a Papa Roach fan, we'd love to hear from you. What other songs should we check out that showcase Jacoby's singing voice? Want to help choose future reactions?
