FDM Lecture 4: Two-dimensional heat conduction and ADI

In this lecture, we discuss the use of the finite-difference method when applied to solve the steady two-dimensional heat conduction equation. The pentadiagonal matrix is established and the alternate-direction implicit (ADI) method to solve the system of linear equations using an iterative process has been illustrated.
