TPTA Teaching 25/10/2026 - Discerning the times -understanding our current landscape

In this session, we took a look at the Gospel of Luke chapter 12 from verse 54, where Jesus is addressing a crowd concerning the issue of discernment, how they were able to look into the sky and be able to dictate the weather for the day, but were not able to discern the times that they were living in. In the context of Jesus, the people were waiting for the Messiah, and Messiah was in their midst, but they could not discern it. They kept rejecting him. They could not discern that what the scriptures had attested concerning the Messiah had been fulfilled. So they were not able to decode what was happening in their time, yet they were able to decode the weather. So Jesus, in essence, is teaching believers that as well as we can be able to decode the weather, by studying the patterns in the sky, in the same manner, we can perceive the signs of our time, by studying the things that are happening in our day, and align them with scripture, we'll be able to understand the times that we are living in and what manner of men are living in the earth and how we ought to stand as representatives of the kingdom. We are not supposed to get carried away with the prevailing culture, so much that we begin conform to it, because we are called to conform to Christ and nothing else. #jesus #wordofgod #inspiration #like #teaching #trending
