Have you heard of Monday Pie?

Monday pie is a traditional British dish originating when families would chop up the left over meat from a Sunday roast and add thrifty ingredients to bulk out the dish and make it feed the whole family. These days it is often made with Mince and has similarities to a Cottage Pie but with sliced potatoes. I like that it can be prepared when I finish work and chucked in the oven for an hour whilst I sort everything else ‘life’ out with the wonderful smells of home cooked food wafting through the house!
