SB 1.1.3 (remaining) and 1.1.4
pralaya - alayam
rasam - Book is rasam so Krsna also should be rasah. That rasa is shelter for Brahman also.
rasam means krsna ko. rasa means Sri Krsna. Thi sfruit belongs to nigama (Veda) tree. galitam is ripened.
So, Krsna is rasam, ripened fruit. It is directly ripened on the tree itself. And this fruit is separated from the tree and being ripened it is falling. To get this fruit you don't have to climb the tree and search the fruit. Means you dont need to search Krsna in the Vedas. You look in the mouth of SUkadev Gosvami.
This fruit is so tasty and it is separated fromt eh Vedas by Vyasadeva. And out of affection he kept in the mouth of Sukadev Gosvami.
Suka mukhad means Suka mukh ke karan - Suka vāṇi
SB 1.1.4
naimiṣe nimiṣa kṣetere -
There is a place called nimiṣa ( also nimiśa is possibe)
Why this word nimiṣa is used at the beginning of SB by Vyasadeva?
Once all the brahmanas wne to Brahmaji to ask for a suitable places to perform their sacrifices. Lord Brahma created a manomaya wheel and released it saying wherever it stops that is the suitable place for sacrifices.ANd the rim (nimiṣa) of the wheel stopped at this place and hence the place is called animiṣāraṇya.
The significance is that the mind wanders to various subjects n order to fulfill its desires but when it reaches this place naimiṣāran-ya, it stops wandering because here all its desires are fulflled.
Similarly, our mind has been wandering to various things trying fulfil our desires an dis tired. So it should come to SB and stop here because by absorbing oneself in SB all one's desires will be fulfilled.
When it is written as nimiśa, then the following meaning is taken:
Once nimiśa bhagavan killed a dānava in this place and hence this place is called naimiśāraṇya. Then why Vyasa bhagavan included this word nimiśa in the beginning of SB? The way nimiśa bhagavan killed the dānava, i the same way all unwanted elements like lust, anger , greed etc will be destroyed when one studies SB.
Actually naimiṣāraṇya has no direct connection with SB. But why one should read this book is indicated through this meanng of the word naimiṣāraṇya. dyotaka artha should be taken.
