CUSCO, PERU travel vlog 🇵🇪 || Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Maras, Moray, and more!

CUSCO, Peru (February 2026) 🇵🇪 Part 2 of our South American adventure takes us from Lima to Cusco, as we catch a flight into the Andes ready to explore Cusco, the Sacred Valley and, of course, Machu Picchu! ✈️⛰️ February is right in the middle of rainy season in Peru — although somehow I think we felt about two drops of rain the entire time we were there! 😂🌧️ One big advantage of travelling at this time of year was having fewer tourists around, especially at Machu Picchu. This part of the trip was also extra special because Dad’s birthday and mine are back-to-back, so there couldn't have been many better places to celebrate! 🎂🎉🇵🇪 The absolute highlight was Machu Picchu. We travelled there on the amazing panoramic train, with huge windows and incredible views as we made our way through the mountains towards Aguas Calientes. We visited Machu Picchu with Valencia Tours and they were absolutely fantastic — 5/5 from us. Everything was really well organised and the whole experience made finally seeing one of the most famous places in the world even more memorable. 🦙🏔️ While staying in Cusco, we'd originally considered doing Rainbow Mountain, but instead decided to spend a full day exploring the archaeological sites and incredible landscapes of the Sacred Valley — and we're very glad we did! Our 12-hour tour included: 🇵🇪 Chinchero 🧂 Maras ancient salt mines 🌿 Moray terraces 🏔️ Ollantaytambo 🌄 The Sacred Valley Another 5/5 experience and amazing value. From flying high into the Andes and exploring the streets of Cusco, to celebrating our birthdays, travelling through the Sacred Valley and finally standing in front of Machu Picchu, this was easily one of the most memorable parts of our trip so far.
