DIY Project, Repairing / Replacing Battery on Aiper Scuba S1 Robotic Pool Cleaner
Background:
Aiper Scuba S1 stopped working after just 8 months, wouldn’t hold a charge. Contacted Aiper and they said the unit was no longer under warranty because it was a replacement unit for a Aiper Seagull Pro which had been Recalled. Apparently this Scuba S1 took over that warranty.
After troubleshooting with Aiper, it was determined that it was a battery issue and they quoted me $200 to replace the battery.
This video is how I replaced the battery and got it working for $35. It’s been working fine for 2 weeks as of the posting of this video.
