Thank you for bringing us so much joy through your incredible games! Post-Match Commentary : The ‘7 legends’ first Olympic attempt was in 2008. Their performance wasn’t fully mature then but it paved the way for their victory at the Asian Championship the following year. You can see some of them play exceptionally well and their style mirrors the Japanese team’s. This match was the second-to-last day of the tournament. Japan secured their Olympic spot earlier after defeating Korea. Mentally, the Japanese team was more relaxed as their opponent was Thailand. With less focus from Nippon and more effort from the Thai girls, the game was quite interesting and ended in five sets.
