I show why I switched to Herdr, a lightweight terminal agent multiplexer using ~100MB RAM instead of 20GB+, and how it works with Ghostty. In this video, I share why I moved away from my old setup, which was eating over 20GB of RAM across just two windows, and switched to Herdr, a terminal-based agent multiplexer that runs on around 100MB of RAM. Herdr works like tmux, but built specifically for coding agents. It lets you run multiple agents (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and others) each in their own real terminal pane, on your machine or over SSH, and keeps sessions alive even after you close your laptop. You get agent state at a glance (working, blocked, done, idle), persistent sessions, and a CLI/socket API if you want to script or automate your workflow. I'm using it with the Ghostty terminal in this video, but Herdr works with any terminal, including Kitty, iTerm, and Alacritty. It's a single binary, no Electron app, no account required, and no telemetry.
