On Oct 15, 2026, the forecast said the sea would calm down in the afternoon, so we called up the master angler at short notice and headed out on a three-hour tip-run scouting trip. We moved briskly between spots and felt squid "punch" bites at every one. From the first drift we hooked a golden cuttlefish (kou-ika), then a bigfin reef squid (aori-ika), and even a nice 900 g cuttlefish (monko-ika). The master angler also christened his new tackle with ink, landing a 650 g aori-ika and a monko-ika. An octopus came up too (released). Both aori-ika and monko-ika are growing steadily bigger. Today's catch: 3 monko-ika (largest 900 g), 2 aori-ika (largest 650 g), 1 kou-ika ▼ Chapters 0:00 Monko, aori and kou-ika in just 3 hours 0:06 Setting out on a short tip-run scouting trip 0:34 Kou-ika from the first drift 1:04 Then an aori-ika 1:33 A guest: pufferfish 1:58 An octopus, of all things 2:09 Third species: a 900 g monko-ika 2:52 Landing the master's aori-ika, step by step 4:03 New tackle christened with ink: 650 g aori-ika 4:37 Monko-ika no. 2 and no. 3 5:40 The master lands a big monko-ika too 5:57 Today's catch ▼ How to dispatch and fillet your catch so it tastes its absolute best    • 【実演解説】魚の締め方・さばき方   Notsukun, The Man Who Guarantees a Catch Playlist of our main content, the full episodes, is here!    • ★メインコンテンツ★ 本編横動画シリーズ   【Instagram】   / kazahaya_family_fishing   [The fishing channel brought to you by Notsukun, "The Man Who Guarantees a Catch"!] The official channel of Kazahaya Family Fishing, a charter fishing boat based on the calm Seto Inland Sea off Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan!
