The Raadha Kalpa Dance Company presents: A Mallari: A simple improvised dance piece that follows the rhythmic detail of the Music. Improvised, means that the dancer chose to dance the entire piece at one stretch without any presumptions or choreographic intentions prior to beginning the dance. A mallari is commonly used as an invocatory piece in a Bharatanatyam Margam. It is remanent of the Mallari that used to be danced in temples while the Utsava Murthy was taken in procession.
