ELSADA - Version of Me

ELSADA is the stage name of Marie Simone Elsada, a Spanish-born American singer, songwriter and producer blending modern rock, alternative and post-grunge. Born in Spain to a Spanish father and an American mother, she moved to the United States as a child — an early displacement that would later shape much of her writing around identity, belonging and independence. Her music combines a raw, sandpaper-edged female vocal with heavy guitars, intimate passages and a direct lyrical style. On stage, ELSADA is intense and confrontational; offstage, her personality is marked by dry humor, introspection and a tendency to undercut seriousness with a well-placed remark. “What is it like to be a woman in rock?” “I don’t know.
