Join me aboard the "Jamaica II" out of Brielle, New Jersey for a deep sea bottom fishing trip in May. With the black sea bass season freshly opened, I set out targeting two species: red hake (commonly known as ling) and the black sea bass. Armed with two rods rigged with high low rigs and fresh clam bait, the action was nonstop. By the end of the day, I landed a solid haul—bringing home 8 keepers: 4 ling and 4 bass.
