The New England Patriots passing attack has looked dangerous throughout training camp. But where is the running game? Most of the positive running-back plays we've heard about have actually come through the air, particularly with Rhamondre Stevenson. Even one of the biggest plays from Monday's practice was Drake Maye finding Stevenson for a touchdown to finish a situational drive. Meanwhile, Mike Vrabel has acknowledged questions surrounding New England's ability to run the football. The Patriots invested heavily in improving their offensive line, and eventually we need to see that translate into Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson consistently producing on the ground. There is one reason for optimism: defenses may be forced to respect Maye, AJ Brown, Romeo Doubs and New England's passing attack enough that lighter boxes eventually create opportunities for the running game. Plus, we may finally have a leader for RB3. After Henderson left practice with an ankle issue, Stevenson received the majority of the first-team work, while JaMycal Hasty was next in line. Lan Larison and Jam Miller sat, potentially giving us our clearest indication yet that Hasty currently leads the RB3 competition. The Patriots passing game looks ready.
