This song also marks a new beginning for me: I’m using an AI clone of my own voice. Hearing these words in a voice that sounds more like mine brings them closer to home. These are things I need to hear myself… and things I’m still learning to live. Sometimes the people who hurt us go on with their lives while we bring what they did home. It lives rent free in our thoughts, costs us sleep, changes the air in our house, and puts distance between us and the people we love. I wrote this song because I’ve done that. I’ve held on to hurt, replayed conversations, and struggled to forgive. My wife didn’t cause those wounds, but she’s felt the weight of me carrying them. That’s hard to admit. The fight has to stop at the threshold. I don’t want someone else’s actions deciding how I love my wife or how much peace we have in our home. I can’t do this alone. I need Jesus to help me forgive what I keep picking back up, surrender what I can’t fix, and trust Him with the outcome. Forgiveness doesn’t make what happened okay. It means I’m ready to stop giving it more of my life. This song is me speaking to myself: let it go. The battle belongs to Him. There are people under this roof who need my love, and I want to be present enough to give it. Let love win the war. “For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” ~ 2 Chronicles 20:15, KJV #ChristianMusic #ChristianRock #TheWarIBroughtHome #TheYesBefore #Forgiveness #LetLoveWin
