I journeyed to Badagry to experience the historic Point of No Return for myself. From travelling through the land to crossing the vast lagoon, I followed the route and explored the history behind this significant place. After leaving the sea, I also visited the historic Vlekete Slave Market, another site connected to the history of the transatlantic slave trade. This journey was about seeing these places for myself, learning their stories, and documenting a part of African history that must never be forgotten.
