D'RAP Webinar Series - Crisis Management: KZN Floods

The Durban Research Action Partnership (D’RAP) and the Municipal Institute of Learning (MILE) hosted a webinar presenting on the April 2022 floods in eThekwini. Malcolm Canham, Senior Coordinator at eThekwini’s Disaster Management Unit covered the damage caused by the floods, the contributing factors, response, challenges, plans for future events and the opportunities for collaboration. Prof Catherine Sutherland, from the School of Built Environment & Development Studies at UKZN, presented the impact these floods have had socially and the lessons we can learn to save lives in future.
