Later, a man arrives claiming to be Julien, but Paul slowly becomes suspicious when the man starts asking too many personal questions. Paul finally realizes that the man is actually a police inspector who has come to arrest him for a jewelry store robbery. The biggest surprise comes when Paul receives a letter revealing that the first police officer he met outside the café was actually Julien. Julien recognized his old friend immediately, but as a police officer, he could not ignore his duty.
