Petrichor - Charlie Youngson

Petrichor. The smell of the earth after rain. An original instrumental, written, performed, engineered, filmed and mixed by Charlie Youngson in Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar region, Western Australia. I really wanted to tell the story of a hot dry summer, and how as summer changes to autumn and then to winter, small showers turn into thunderous downpours of rain. I wanted to hear the small buds and shoots of growth slowly appearing throughout the forests of the south west, before it all explodes into a cacophony of greenery and life.
