A few years ago, I attended a caregiver support group and listened as someone described grieving a loved one who was still alive. I heard the words. I understood the concept. But I never truly understood it until I lived it myself. In this video, I share my personal caregiving journey as a daughter caring for my mother who is living with dementia. I talk about anticipatory grief, role reversal, exhaustion, love, faith, and the lessons caregiving continues to teach me every day.
