Muddy AF 2026 AWRCS Rd. 2 Redbank in Fairmount City, PA 55+A Golden Masters 1st Place

I really didn't expect good conditions for this race, however, I started to become even more skeptical when I saw a lot of (clean) bikes exiting the event when we were coming in Sunday morning. So, I'm not sure if it was all weather related or that it was also Mothers' Day, but the turnout for our race line was lower than normal. (Sorry for the mud on camera from 7:05-10:02. You can skip that and catch my next crash when the mud falls off!! haha) .....Make sure you watch the carnage at the new hill climb at the 20-21 minute mark, and my pass for the lead at the end of the video. I thought I had gotten a good start - until I was passed on the outside of turn one, then I caught a berm and crashed early - sending me to the back of our entire row. After two others' crashed in front of, and collected me, and I had a miserable attempt at the new hill climb, I had a lot of ground to make up. (If you're one of those two guys, hit me up.) Coming around the first lap, I was 5 seconds behind, in 2nd place. I believe I made the pass for the lead up the hill in the last part of the video. I just tried to have a smooth, error-free second lap and believe I pulled that off. Not knowing I had a 10 minute lead at the end of the second lap, I pushed myself pretty hard the third lap. That was tough as the mud just got thicker and even more slippery. After falling and stalling about half way through the third lap my starter stopped working. Not knowing what my lead might be I scrambled to get the bike to a downhill to bump start it and finish the lap - in 1st place. So, although I was not happy with my riding, I was able to come away with maximum points for this round. Please give a thumbs-up and consider hitting that subscribe button.
