In this proof-of-concept video, SySS IT security expert Matthias Deeg demonstrates a voltage glitching attack using a new open-source toolchain with the Pico Glitcher [1] and findus [2]. Both, the hardware glitching device Pico Glitcher and the fault injection software library findus were developed by the SySS IT security expert Dr. Matthias Kesenheimer. In this video, the code read protection (CRP) of the LPC1343, which is known to be vulnerable to voltage glitching attacks, is bypassed.
