The Hidden (1987) | Kyle MacLachlan vs. the Ferrari Slug | becoming friends with...

LESS HUMAN THAN HUMAN starts now. all october, we're watching movies about things that are pretending, badly, to be people. First up: The Hidden (1987), the one where a perfectly nice guy robs a bank, kills everybody, steals a Ferrari, and then coughs up a slug that hops into the next guy so it can do it all again. Kyle MacLachlan is FBI Agent Lloyd Gallagher, a man who has clearly read a pamphlet about being human but never practiced. Michael Nouri is the LA cop who just wants one normal day. The slug wants loud music, fast cars, and the presidency, which honestly is a platform. we start with mark wahlberg saying hi to a donkey's mother, a david spade dramatic turn, the billy ripken card, christopher abbott's p-movies, and a pay it forward pyramid scheme. then danny trejo's ben shapiro movie, the great shirt-or-pants-first debate (donald ducking), ben affleck's ai movie, a david lee roth welfare check, a peach snapple tasers & tears, and nu shooz's laser coffee pot. then, the hidden (1987): kyle maclachlan, a body-hopping alien slug, and one of the darkest happy endings ever. we cover dopamine aliens, the gta theory, drywall aliens, the roach-in-the-mouth finale, and danny trejo's two seconds. plus arena and space raiders in trailer trash, a framed round that nails tremors and nothing else, and the next picks: robert rodriguez's the faculty, featuring elijah wood, a dumb and dumber haircut, and byron somewhere deep in the background. then tobe hooper's invaders from mars, and a species and species ii double bill on the friday before halloween, costumes included. no costume spoilers yet, though the dog from the hidden with a mirror taped to its head is on the table. tell everyone. like and subscribe. reach out below: Patreon:   / becomingfriendswith   Website: https://becomingfriendswith.com Gripe Line: https://bfw.gripe Film Prescription: https://bfw.doctor be safe. make a plan to vote. we love you. byron j. #thehiddenkingdoms #KyleMacLachlan #LessHumanThanHuman #becomingfriendswith #CultFilm #80sHorror #SciFiHorror #NewLineCinema #JackSholder #MovieReview #FilmPodcast #HorrorMovies #Halloween #michaelnouri #thehidden #thehidden1987 #tremors #arena1989 #spaceraiders #thefaculty #invadersfrommars #species #podcast #comedypodcast #moviepodcast #tocatchapredator #chrishansen #davidleeroth #benaffleck #dannytrejo #billyripken #christopherabbott #blackbear #deadwood #nushooz #icantwait #payitforward #donaldducking #moreurinetalk #eattherich
