For more than 2,500 years, the teachings of *Shakyamuni Buddha — Siddhartha Gautama —* have asked us to look directly at the nature of the mind and the causes of suffering.
This ancient mantra honours the historical Buddha:
*Tayata Om Muni Muni Maha Muniye Soha*
Often called the **Shakyamuni Buddha Mantra**, its repetition is used as a contemplative practice associated with wisdom, clarity and awakening.
But perhaps its significance is not found simply in the words.
When a mantra is repeated, attention repeatedly returns to one place. Thoughts arise, distractions appear, and attention wanders — but again, we return.
And perhaps that is where the practice begins.
Not by escaping the mind.
But by learning to observe it.
Use these minutes for meditation, reflection, or simply to become still enough to notice what is happening within you.
**May all beings be free from suffering.
May wisdom arise.
May we see clearly.**
🙏
