woodturning a small bowl made from a weathered piece of ash

I made a small bowl from a weathered and partially decayed piece of ash. After mounting the wood on the lathe using a faceplate and turning the outside, I noticed that the discolored part of the wood was soft and had loose wood fibers. So I soaked the wood in wood fortifier and let it cure. After the wood fortifier had cured, I sanded the outside and treated it with two coats of sealer. Using hot melt glue, I glued a plywood tenon to the bottom, turned it, and mounted the bowl reversed with the plywood tenon in the chuck. After hollowing out the bowl, I sanded the inside and treated it with two coats of sealer. Once the sealer had cured, I sanded the bowl to 600 grit and finished it with friction polishing. After polishing, I removed the bowl from the chuck, softened the hot melt glue with denatured alcohol, removed the plywood tenon, and then sanded and polished the bottom. The bowl has a diameter of 13 centimeters and is 8 centimeters high.
