John Day River, Painted Hills, & Ochocos

My first moto camping trip. Explored the Columbia Gorge, heading south to the John Day Fossil Beds through Shaniko, then hopped on dirt roads along the John Day River to camp the first night at Burnt Ranch. The next day brought more gravel roads visiting Painted Hills, and then touring Ochoco National Forest. Muddy roads diverted me to Prineville Reservoir to camp for the night under a Dark Sky. Then blitzed home the next day through Mt Hood. An epic little trip just like I’d always dreamed of with an adventure motorcycle!
