U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy Delivers the Keynote Address to the Graduating Class of 2022

In his address to the graduating class of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy encouraged the new doctors to respect the value and dignity of every life. He said they were beginning their careers during a time of profound health care challenges, including the pandemic, chronic illness, racial disparities in the delivery of care and gun violence. He said doctors have a responsibility to speak out and speak the truth about controversial issues that impact health. This video is the full address to the class of 2022.
